We just finished this stunning installation project for a lovely family.
With panoramic views over the coast, this family were keen to retain full views whist gaining privacy and all-year round usability of their expansive deck area.
Key to this job was the need to allow for the variable wind and weather that is part and parcel of coastal living.
The solution was to design and install custom Louvretec Louvres across 3 sides of the deck (2 walls and a balustrade). These louvres are fully adjustable, to allow more or less light, heat and breeze through as the weather dictates. Most days the louvres will be open to allow the family and their visitors uninterrupted views across the water. On breezier days, the family can completely close the louvres to have an almost enclosed space that is warmer and inviting.
Importantly, we take care to select the correct size products to satisfy QLD buidling regulations for balustrade safety requirements (maximum allowable gaps) so the kids can play safely and parents can relax with peace of mind.
