This lovely Coopers Plains family engaged Instaco to install both an insulated skillion patio roof as well as a new hardwood timber deck.
Covering over 42 sqm we used Stratco Cooldek insulated panels to greatly reduce heat transfer and increase comfort levels underneath the roof. By attaching one side to teh house and matching structural post spans to the balaustrading, we created a very open feeling patio cover. The N3 wind rating means the patio is engineered to last, and with built in down lights the deck will be a great entertaining space in day or night.
We used 90x19mm Kwila (Merbau) hardwood with a steel sub-frame for the deck. The steel sub-frame provides excellent rigidity and strength without the weight of timber beams. The Kwila is a tough, well wearing hardwoood that is incredibly warp resistant even in Australias' variable weather conditions - so your deck will look good for longer.
